Religious Images and Iconoclasm in Reformation Iceland

This work assesses what happened to liturgical objects from Icelandic churches and monastic houses during after the Lutheran Reformation, through an examination of written sources, such as inventories Visitation books, material evidence in museum collections archaeological excavations. The aim this is first, assess extent nature iconoclasm Iceland secondly re-examine traditional narratives Reformation light culture.
